DRESS CODE: Uniforms
"Clothes and manners do not make the man, but when he is
made, they greatly improve his appearance."
Boys and girls of Adventist Malama Elementary School will be
attired in the selected uniforms. Uniforms will be purchased
from Lands' End@ catalog. All students are required to wear
a uniform which are to be kept neat and clean at all times.
No substitutes or exceptions will be made without
consulting- the principal.
BOYS' APPROPRIATE ATTIRE:
1. Boys are to tuck in their shirts and use belts. Shoes and
socks are required.
2. Hair should be clean, neatly groomed, and not touch the
top of the collar of a dress shirt. When combed, hair should
not fall over the eyebrows nor should its side length exceed
the bottom of the ear lobe. The length and bulk of the hair
should not appear ragged or unkempt. Unconventional haircuts
(shaved designs, tails, etc,) and unusual hair coloring are
not permitted.
Inappropriate attire includes:
All headgear, including sunshades (visors), earrings, neck
chains, dark/sun glasses, friendship bracelets, sandals,
slippers, flojos or "mini" socks which don't reach at least
the top of ankles.
GIRLS APPROPRIATE ATTIRE:
1 .
Girls are to tuck in their uniform tops.
2. Footwear - shoes, sandals with back straps and canvas
shoes. Socks are optional.
Inappropriate Attire Includes:
Jewelry such as bracelets (including friendship bracelets),
lockets, ornamental clothing pins, rings, earrings, chokers,
necklaces, sun glasses, or shell necklaces. The use of
makeup or cosmetics such as lipstick, mascara, eyeshadow,
eye liner, blush, or colored fingernail covering. Slippers,
flojos, sandals, all headgear, including sunshades (visors).
