ATTENDANCE
Students are required by law to
attend school regularly. Therefore, the only valid excuse
from school is sickness or a death in the family. Notes are
required from a parent when a child is absent. Teachers are
not required to give make-up assignments for inexcusable
absences. Parents are asked to cooperate with the school
permitting no unexcused absences from school. As far as
possible, dental or medical appointments should be made
outside of school hours. Make-up work for excused absences
may be given.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Parents may arrange for care at
the earliest of 6:45 a.m. until 7:15 a.m. There is a charge
for this. Also, if the work schedule of a parent makes it
impossible to pick the child up by
2:15 p.m.
after school care is available for a fee. The supervision
will be by adults other than the teaching staff.
SCHOOL HOURS
No student will be permitted to
leave the school grounds during school hours without
specific permission from the principal or head teacher. Such
permission may be granted for illness or emergencies upon
request of the parent or guardian.
Students should not arrive on the campus before
7:15 a.m. and
should leave the campus by
2:15 p.m.
Monday to Friday. The only exception is if the student is
detained by one of the teachers.
We recognize the busy schedules parents and guardians have.
And, we sympathize with the need. Yet we also recognize the
needs of our teachers and must protect their time for
personal and professional preparation. Please deliver and
pick up the children punctually. Otherwise, you may enroll
them, for a fee, in our "before and after" care program.
School hours for all grades are:
Monday thru Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Students and teachers are not available during these hours
for telephone calls. Messages will be taken and calls
returned at teacher's convenience. |
